Eight Identical Surnames
This game was made for the Global Game Jam 2023 organised by the AEV. With the theme Roots, we took some creative liberties and decided to make an irreverent videogame that tasks you with breeding four different aliens through the human ages, trying to keep them from inbreeding. This gameplay has procedurally created portraits that appear in the family tree-like board, and lets two players control one alien with each joystick and breed with whichever alien they feel like. Once you reach a certain threshold, or lose your bloodline and are not able to go on, you will be able to see how your family tree evolved through the ages, and laugh with your friends at the mess you created.
