My Love Lock

My Love Lock is a mobile app I worked on while I was at My Love Lock. My role was that of Tech Lead. When I started the job, the MVP they had was bug-ridden, filled with code smells and with little to no structure, other than that of spaghetti.
My main goal was taking what they already had and make it faster, more reliable, and with a better architecture that could accommodate every future feature the product owner could think of. The product unfortunately didn't work out as expected, but the work I did makes me proud. I:

  • Single-handedly created multiple systems for replacing the untidy code.
  • Apply state machines, centralize data structures, reroute downloads (code-side).
  • Improve significantly load times.
  • Get rid of fake padlocks and replace them with real ones in the 3D environment with positive impact to performance.

  • Also, I mentored junior engineers and helped artists understand math concepts for better Shader results.
